Our Refuge

God is our refuge, and what comfort that brings! He is your refuge when you awaken in the night filled with fear, and cold sweat breaks out. He is your refuge, your strength, a very present help when events transpire that you cannot understand.

He is our refuge even when we stray, He is our refuge let come what may.
He is our refuge when we are filled with fear, He is our refuge when we shed a tear.
He is our refuge when we can't comprehend, He is our refuge let us not pretend.
He is our refuge in the storm, He is our refuge holding us in His arm.
He is our refuge let come what may, He is our refuge He will never go away.

Light the Candle

Today of all days the apartment complex I live in decided to have our power turned off pretty much all day today because of needing to switch some things over that they have been working on for a long time now. A friend of mine and I decided to go and hang out. During this time I thought of a song. not sure what the title is but it goes something like this.....
shut da doe (the door) keep out the devil, light the candle everything's all right. Light the candle everything's all right.
Many people like to stay in the dark physically as well as spiritually but Jesus likes us to come to the light. To expose those things that shouldn't be in our lives. Things that He would rather us to get rid of so that we may have a closer walk with Him because many things unawaringly can hinder our relationship with God. To make sure that doesn't happen we need to be sure that we walk in the Light in and with Jesus Christ.
